“Join us for an evening of scholarship and celebration as our Alpha Beta Zeta Chapter's Youth Auxiliary in partnership with the ABZ Dove Foundation formally present our Archonettes.

The Alpha Beta Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated's 2018 Miss Blue Revue Debutante Cotillion is a comprehensive scholarship program for female high school students that focuses on etiquette, community service and college preparation.

 

At the end of each Blue Revue cycle, the Alpha Beta Zeta Youth Auxiliary and the ABZ Dove Foundation sponsor the Miss Blue Revue and Miss Junior Blue Revue to spotlight the accomplishments of our program participants and award academic scholarships. All proceeds go to support scholarships and educational enrichment programs for our youth in Newport News-Hampton, Virginia.

Debutante Aniya Zanielle Cuffee

Miss Cuffee is 17 years old and is a Senior at Heritage High School in Newport News, Virginia. She is also a dual enrollment student at Thomas Nelson Community College earning college credits. She currently holds the office of Secretary for the ABZ Archonettes Club. Aniya believes in leading by example and loves all things technical and tutors younger students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). She will be attending Virginia Tech in the Fall of 2018 majoring in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Food Science. She has also been accepted to North Carolina A&T University, North Carolina Central University, Hampton University and Norfolk State University. Miss Aniya Cuffee is the daughter of Mr. Roland Asberry Cuffee, Jr. and Mrs. Kristen Stepney-Long of Newport News, Virginia.

Debutante Destiny Reddick

Miss Reddick 17 years old and is a Senior at Bethel High School, Hampton, Virginia.  She currently holds the office of Parliamentarian for the ABZ Archonette Club.  She wishes to study abroad in Australia or Italy to pursue a double major in Business Administration and Management. She has been accepted to Longwood University, and Chowan University, Shaw University, William & Mary and Old Dominion University. Miss Reddick was 1 out of 5 recipients to win the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) Negro Hall of Fame Scholarship. She helps her church to feed the homeless and participates in the Back-To-School supplies backpack drive and the passes out backpacks with toiletries to the homeless. Miss Destiny Zy’Aire Reddick is the daughter of Mr. William Alphonso Reddick and Mrs. Deborah Diane Reddick of Hampton, Virginia

Debutante Jakayla Rebecca Meekins

Miss Meekins is 17 years old and is a Senior at Surry County High School in Surry, Virginia. She enjoys singing, dancing and flag twirling, reading, writing and participating in Surry High School  marching band. She is a member of Poplar Lawn Baptist Church.  Miss Meekins is interested in obtaining a degree in Business Administration and minoring in Entertainment Business. She has been accepted to Alabama State University, Hollins University, Virginia Union University and Old Dominion University. Miss Meekins has applied to Howard University, and Virginia State University. Miss Jakala Meekins is the daughter of Mr. Brian Meekins and Mrs. Judy Meekins of Surry, Virginia.

Debutante Josceleon Simone Napier

Miss Napier is 17 and is a Junior at Smithfield High School in Smithfield, Virginia. Miss Napier’s interests include being the leader of the Smithfield High School drum line,  rapping and praise dancing. She currently holds the office of Chaplain for the ABZ Archonettes Club.  Miss Napier  plans to attend North Carolina A&T State University to pursue a degree in Technological Engineering and minor in Business. Josceleon believes in beating to her own drum and aspires to be the captain of North Carolina A&T’s “COLDSTEEL” drum line. Upon graduation, Miss Napier plans to become an entrepreneur to start her own production company called “JMusik Productions.” Miss Josceleon Napier is the daughter of Pastor Joseph Leon Napier, Jr. and Elder Simonah Napier of Carrollton, Virginia. 

Debutante Destinee Karin Harrell

Miss Harrell is 16 years old and is a sophomore at Granby High School in Norfolk, Virginia. She is in the International Baccalaureate program. Her interests include acting, public speaking and photography. Miss Harrell is the President of the Youth NAACP. She currently holds the office of Vice-President for the ABZ Archonettes Club. Miss Harrell is not yet decided on which college or university she wants to attend, but she definitely plans to pursue a degree in the Performing Arts. Miss Destinee Harrell is the daughter of Mr. Karim Harrell and is the granddaughter of Mrs. Helen Harrell of Suffolk, Virginia. 

Debutante Ziakiyah Bunch

Miss Bunch is a member of the Churchland High School cheerleading squad and loves to dance. She is currently the President of the ABZ Archonettes Club for the 2017-2018 year. Miss Bunch  plans to attend Virginia State University or the University of Richmond. She aspires to be a Pediatric Nurse as she loves to help little children. She is also interested in being a dance choreographer for dancers of all ages. Miss Bunch encourages other teenagers to focus on “being themselves and to try to uplift others.” Miss Ziakiya Bunch is the daughter of the late Mr. Mantonio Bunch and Miss Atia Wooden of Portsmouth, Virginia.

Debutante Justice Sirena Blizzard

Miss Blizzard is 15 years old and is a Freshman at Kecoughtan High School in Hampton, Virginia. She is a former Kecoughtan cheerleader who loves dancing, singing and reading. Some of Miss Blizzard’s favorite things include culinary arts and astronomy. She attends Abyssinia Baptist Church where she participates in her church’s youth program. She is a member of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and plans to attend North Carolina A&T State University to study Criminal Justice. Her dream is to work for the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI). Miss Justice Blizzard is the daughter of Mr. Lee Wilson and Miss Jessica Francine Johnson of Hampton, Virginia. 

Debutante Jalynn Wilson

Miss Wilson is 14 years old and is a Freshman at Bethel High School, Hampton, Virginia. She is a member of Abyssinia Baptist Church where she participates in her churches Youth Ministry and dance ministry. She also is a member of the Bethel High School Chorus. Miss Wilson is interested in cosmetology, singing, dancing and choreography, and likes to shop. While she has not yet decided on which college or university she will attend, she is definitely interested in becoming a Registered Nurse. Miss Jalynn Wilson is the daughter of Mr. Allen Michael West and Mrs. Tarmeka Nitia West of Hampton, Virginia.
